Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Cirqle Network Inc. (“Cirqle”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares your personal information when you use the Cirqle app on iOS or Android (the “App”), view or share a profile at cirqle.me, or visit or buy from https://www.cirqlenetwork.com/ (the “Site”). Together these are the “Service”. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as this policy describes.

Information We Collect

Information you give us in the App:

• Account information: your name, email address and phone number, and your username.
• Profile information: your profile photo, banner, bio, location label, and the links you add.
• What you share: messages, photos, Snapshots, Moments, plans and your replies to them, reactions, and friend requests. Photos you add to a Moment are shared with the Moment's members.
• Contacts: if you allow it, the phone numbers in your contacts, used only to show you which of them are on Cirqle. You can turn this off in your phone's settings.
• Location: when you allow it, your location, used to show the map, find places for plans, and record where you met a friend when you tap their device.
• Cirqle devices: the ID of each Card or Tag linked to your account, and when one is tapped.

Information we collect automatically:

• Device information, such as your device model, operating system, app version, IP address, time zone, and the push notification token that lets us send you notifications.
• Usage information, such as the screens you view and the features you use, which helps us understand how the Service is used.
• On the Site, information collected with cookies, log files, web beacons, tags and pixels: your browser, the pages and products you view, what referred you to the Site, and date and time stamps. For more about cookies and how to disable them, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.

Information from purchases:

When you buy from the Site, we collect your name, billing and shipping address, phone number for international shipments, and email address (“Order Information”). You enter payment details on Stripe's checkout page; your card number goes to Stripe, not to us.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide the Service: show your profile, connect you with people you meet, deliver messages, Snapshots, Moments and plans, and send notifications.
• Fulfill orders: process payment, buy shipping labels, ship your devices, and send order confirmations.
• Keep the Service safe: verify accounts, and screen for spam, fraud and abuse.
• Understand and improve the Service, and fix problems.
• Communicate with you about your account and orders and, when you have agreed to it, send you news and offers.

Sharing Your Information

Other people see what you choose to share: your public profile is visible to anyone with your link or who taps your device, and what you post in a chat or Moment is visible to its members.

We share information with service providers who help us run the Service, only for that purpose, including: Amazon Web Services (hosting and storage), Stripe (payments, https://stripe.com/privacy), EasyPost (shipping labels, https://www.easypost.com/privacy), Mixpanel (product analytics, https://mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy/), Google (place information and spam protection), Mapbox (maps), and Apple and Google (push notifications).

We may also share information to comply with the law, respond to a lawful request such as a subpoena or search warrant, or protect our rights and the safety of our users. We do not sell your personal information.

Advertising

When you have agreed to it, we may use Order Information and Site usage to show you ads or send you marketing about our products. We do not change the Site's data practices in response to a browser's Do Not Track signal.

Data Retention

We keep your account information and what you share for as long as your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and personal information, except where we need to keep some of it to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or prevent abuse. We keep Order Information for as long as needed to fulfill and support the order and to keep the records tax law requires. If you join our newsletter, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe.

Your Rights

You can update your profile in the App at any time. To access, correct or delete your personal information, or to delete your account, email legal@cirqlenetwork.com. If you are in Europe or the UK, you also have the right to object to or restrict how we process your information and to receive a copy of it; we process it to provide the Service you asked for and to pursue our legitimate business interests, and it may be transferred outside Europe, including to the United States.

Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Links to Other Sites

Profiles and the Service may link to other sites, such as the links people add to their profiles. Those sites are not operated by us, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. In some countries you must be at least 16, or have a parent or guardian's consent, to use the Service.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. We will post the updated policy here and change the date at the top.
